Haryana Solar Power Policy Salient Features:-

1. 20% projects have been reserved for small solar projects (1 to 2 MW) with a price preference of 2% for the project set up within Haryana
2. Land ceiling act not applicable for such projects.
3. Change of Land Use (CLU) not required for renewable energy projects.
4. Exemption of Electricity duty, electricity taxes & Cess, wheeling, transmission & Distribution, cross subsidy charges, surcharges, and reactive power charges.
5. Exemption from Environmental and forest clearances.
6. Exemption in stamp duty for registration of rent/lease deed.
7. Power from rooftop solar plants shall be purchased on the minimum last tariff discovered without tendering.
8. For Rooftop Solar Projects no building plan sanction required.
9. Government Buildings rooftop available for RESCO/lease
10. Procure / Generate solar power over and above the RPO
11. Use of the space between the installed solar panels for commercial floriculture / horticulture activities.
12. Metering equipment for sale of power shall be installed at site by the user at their own cost as per the specification of power utilities of state / HERC Grid Code / CEA Regulations.
